The Premise
When what was touted as the "party to end all parties" goes awry a group of college students take refuge in an abandoned manor. What could possibly go wrong?
How to Play
Mischief Manor is a Discord based RP group that will mostly involve player-to-mod investigation and dice rolls. Your character will receive goal(s) to complete by the end of the night all while trying to stay alive.

The Premise
The school semester is finally over and it's about time for everyone to be heading back home for the Summer. For some that's just a short car ride away, for others it's a flight to the other side of the country. For some it's just the end of their first year of their college career, while for others it's just about time for graduation.The original plan was to hold a massive party to celebrate, but after the cops arrive due to a noise complaint early on into the night, plans are forced to change. A small group piles together into a car and drives off onto a desolate highway in order to escape the spectacle. However, on a long stretch of highway their car breaks down and the group is forced to look for some sort of shelter.A short walk away from the broken down vehicle is an abandoned manor, known to the locals as "Mischief Manor". Although nobody seems to know the true story of how the house had managed to be abandoned, there are many urban legends revolving around it. Now it is mostly known as a place that teens sneak off to in the night to scare each other.Unfortunately, they would not be the only one residing in the manor tonight. But whether the other inhabitant, or inhabitants for that matter, are man or monster is still to be seen...
How to Play
Schedule
Because there are no defined events or recurring segments within the RP there won't be a defined schedule. However, the game will be broken down into chapters that will each represent one hour of in-game time. Each chapter the players will be given a scenario, either individually or in a group, that they will play out in any way that they choose. This scenario can be anything ranging from looking for food, investigating a mysterious noise, playing a prank on another player, or being confronted with a threat.Skill Checks
When a player is confronted with a dangerous situation, such as jumping over a gap in the floor or avoiding an attack, they will have to roll a skill check. The numbers required for a skill check will vary from task to task and the consequences of failing may vary from nothing to injury and even death in some cases.We will be using a dice rolling bot for the rolls.Personal Goals
Each player character will have personal goals that they are incentivized to achieve. While surviving the night is the ultimate goal, you are encouraged to also fulfill your personal goal(s) as well.These will range from discovering another character's secrets, going on a date, preventing others from breaking the law, etc.Rumors and Relationships
Some of the characters may already know each other, while others may be complete strangers who just wanted to hitch a ride out of the party. Because of this, there will be varying amounts of information that each character will know about each other.Each player will be given a list of rumors, which may or may not be true, about the other characters in their group. It is up to them to decide whether or not to act on this information or to verify the truth behind them.
